The Nazmul Hasan Papon era at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has come to an end finally. Nazmul Hasan resigned today in the meeting of BCB Board of Directors held at the conference room of Ministry of Youth and Sports. Former national team captain and former chief selector Faruk Ahmed has been nominated president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

The appointment of Faruk was nominated president by 10 members during an emergency meeting of the BCB at the sports ministry, confirmed a BCB source. 

Earlier, Jalal Yunus resigned from the post of BCB director. He was in charge of cricket management department in BCB. He was asked to resign from The National Sports Council (NSC).

Faruk Ahmed was brought in as director in the vacant position of Jalal Yunus. After that, he was elected president by the board of directors.

In 2012, Nazmul Hasan took charge of BCB as the president nominated by the government. He was elected president in October 2013. Since then, Nazmul has served as the BCB president for three terms.
